Alia Ahmed, B.S.


Alia is a proud graduate of Southeastern University in Washington, D. C. with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. She is a world traveler and once married, she settled in New York City where she worked at the prestigious Manhattan law office of Robert J. Krakow .   Alia found her passion for therapy as she was a caregiver for a patient with dementia and Alzheimer for over 15 years. Alia is currently pursing her Master's degree in applied behavioral analysis at Ball State University.  She believes that speech, occupational and behavioral therapy is a vital tool to help patients and caregivers.

At home, Alia enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading,  eating out and traveling.

Patricia Gunn, B.A.


Tricia is a proud graduate of Sam Houston State University where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice .    After graduation from college, she went to work as a child abuse/neglect investigator for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. She finished her tenure there as a member of the multi-disciplinary team at Children's Safe Harbor.  Tricia then transitioned into the medical field by taking a position with a home health pediatric therapy company where she served as the Alternate Administrator for 5+ years.  She strongly believes that all children and persons with disabilities deserve top-notch medical treatment regardless of their financial circumstance.  Tricia has spent many hours testifying before and lobbying the State Legislator in Austin on behalf of children on Medicaid for the right to receive necessary therapy services.    Tricia is currently pursing her Master's degree in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake University.   At home in Willis, TX, Tricia enjoys spending time with her family and 4 dogs.  She has a passion for photography and loves to go to flea markets and resale shops.


Codi Martin, OTR/L 

Occupational Therapist

Codi graduated from the University of Findlay in Ohio with a Bachelor's of Science degree with an emphasis in Occupational Therapy and later received in her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.  Codi has worked as an occupational therapist for 12 years in a variety of settings, but primarily pediatrics and hand therapy.    She also specializes in Behavior Management and utilizes those principles daily in her pediatric work.  In her free time,  Codi enjoys spending time with her husband and traveling.

Lara Taylor, M.ED. BCBA

Board Certified Behavioral Analyst

Lara graduated from Sam Houston State University where she earned her Masters of Education in Special Education with an emphasis in Low Incidence Disabilities and Autism. She continued on to obtain her board certification as a Behavioral Analyst and she is also a certified teacher (EC-12). She has been providing behavioral therapy services since 2001. Lara has classroom and homeschool teaching experience utilizing ABA techniques. She has collaborated with Conroe and New Caney ISD administrative staff and teachers on behavior intervention plans and social skills strategies. Lara has provided ABA services in home, in clinic and in public and private school settings. Lara strives to help her patients have the best of quality of life and she believes that there are no ceilings. She says that "we always keep learning, no matter the pace." In her free time, Lara enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She enjoys art, photography, ceramics and music.

Cynthia Nolan

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Cyndi graduated from Navarro College in 2016 with an occupational therapy assistant certification. She has special training in Ready Bodies Learning Minds to improve motor movement and sensory integration. She feels it is important to add sensory integration in her sessions since the sensory systems that process information are the building blocks to many other skills.  Cyndi has worked with the pediatrics population since graduating. She is passionate about treating this population because she loves being a part of children succeeding despite any limitations they were born with or have developed. She believes occupational therapy is fulfilling because we get to play a role in helping children and families achieve goals they never thought possible.

Lindsay Vermylen, B. S.

Speech Language Pathology Assistant

Lindsay graduated from the University of Houston where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders and Psychology. She plans to continue her education in the speech pathology field. Since graduation, Lindsay’s focus has been on pediatric clientele. She has experience working in the school districts and home health. Lindsay knew at an early age that helping people communicate was her calling. She believes therapy should be functional and fun. She takes the time to get to know each patient as an individual and finds creative ways to help them achieve success. Lindsay believes that if you have a positive attitude and strive to give your best effort, eventually you will overcome your challenges. In her spare time, Lindsay enjoys going to the beach, working out, and spending time with her loved ones.
