Behavioral Therapy For All Ages

In order to meet the unique needs of each child and family we serve, we offer individualized learning solutions and behavioral interventions for children, adolescents, and adults with the following diagnoses:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
  • Down Syndrome
  • Mental handicap
  • ADD/ADHD
  • Traumatic Brain Injury
  • Behavioral or Emotional Issues
  • Learning Disabilities
  • Other Developmental Disabilities

Children with autism may often exhibit challenging behaviors at some point in their lives. As a result, many children and their families are not able to fully participate in their schools and communities, and their quality of lives can be significantly impaired. Children with autism tend to engage in challenging behaviors due to their lack of skills to appropriately handle the daily challenges they encounter. There can be many reasons for why these behaviors occur, and an ABA approach is the most effective approach to understand how these behaviors were learned, what skills need to be taught for children to successfully overcome their daily challenges and to develop an Individualized Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP).

Here at Hope, Healing and Recovery Therapy, our expertise allows us to create individualized behavior plans to address the following behaviors:

  • Noncompliance and oppositional behavior
  • Disruptive behavior such as screaming, throwing, and breaking things.
  • Communication problems such as inability to effectively communicate wants or needs
  • Eating problems such as picky eaters, or problem behavior during meals
  • Social-skill deficits such as inability to make friends, or reciprocate social interaction
  • Stereotypical behavior such as body rocking, toe walking, spinning objects, or hand flapping
  • Physical and verbal aggression such as hitting others, biting, or pushing
  • Self-injurious behavior such as head banging, self biting, pulling hair or eye lashes
  • Temper tantrums
